A new PCR Section Head elected
Today, on 17 July 2020, the results of the PCR Section elections were announced at the IAMCR general assembly.
The two elected PCR co-chairs are Ana Duarte Melo (University of Minho / CECS, Portugal) and Dorismilda Flores-Márquez (Universidad De La Salle Bajío, México).
The four elected PCR vice-chairs are Jonas Agerbæk (Roskilde University, Denmark), Piyu Gong (Jinan University, China), Arun John (University of Hyderabad, India) and Ana Lúcia Nunes de Sousa (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil).
Together, these six people form what is called the new PCR Section Head.
The outgoing PCR chair, Nico Carpentier, who became installed as new IAMCR president at the same general assembly, congratulates the new members of the PCR Head. He also thanks Ana and Jonas, who were PCR vice-chairs during the previous term, for their hard work, creativity and support. Finally, the outgoing PCR chair thanks the three secreteries of the PCR, Siddharth Chadha, Kateřina Turková and Filip Šourek, for their work for the PCR Section, and Uppsala University and Charles University for their support for the PCR Secretariat.
This change also implies that some of the old email addresses (e.g., pcr.secretariat [at] fsv.cuni.cz and iamcr-pcrsection [at] commlist.org) will be discontinued. PCR members are kindly requested to keep an eye on the PCR webpages (at http://iamcr.org/s-wg/section/pcr) for updates.
